One of the things I enjoy about growing food at home is being able to pick something fresh and use it almost immediately. Brazilian spinach is one of those useful leafy greens that has found a regular place in my garden and kitchen. I grow mine in simple planter boxes, and when it is ready for harvesting, there can be quite a lot!

Simple ways I use Brazilian spinach

What I like about Brazilian spinach is that I don't need a special recipe just to use it. I add the leaves to soups, give them a quick stir-fry, or add some to an omelette. Simple everyday food and an easy way to use something freshly picked from the garden.

After a recent harvest, I also used some of the leaves to make a fruit smoothie.

What I used

  • Brazilian spinach
  • Green apple
  • Red apple
  • Orange
  • Pineapple
  • Water

Simply blend everything together until smooth.

No added sugar or syrup. The fruit already provides plenty of sweetness for my taste.

There's nothing complicated about it—just freshly harvested greens combined with fruit I already had in the kitchen.

A simple way to enjoy Garden to Table

Garden to Table doesn't have to mean growing everything we eat or having a large vegetable garden. Even a few pots or planter boxes can give us something useful to harvest and enjoy in everyday meals.

Sometimes the simplest things from the garden are the most satisfying. 🌿

One small habit. One practical step.
